From Barren to Blessings
And Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the Lord; my strength is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation. “No one is holy like the Lord, for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God.

Hannah wanted to have a child of her own, even though she’s barren. Every year she would dedicate a day for prayer and sacrifice, praying to the Lord Jehovah to open her womb. Because of her faith, God eventually gave what she wanted. Hannah in her gratefulness offered her child who would be King Samuel back to the Lord Jehovah. Hannah had one ask, “A Man Child” she didn’t say to keep for herself yet to be humble enough to give this to her husband. Because she honored her husband and the Lord in the gift of her task, she honored Jehovah by returning Samuel back, not as a sacrifice yet as an honor of her gratitude to him.
Hannah is an ordinary woman full of Faith and Honor to Jehovah. It was her faithfulness in the God of her ancestors and the promises he gave us and her. This demonstrated how she held tight to the promise that he is able to open every door, open the barren wombs, bless our husbands, families and children if we seek him with our whole heart as Hannah did in prayer. Faith and Prayer can unlock everything you are seeking God for. Her dedication to both proves to us all that God is a God who responds. Hannah went on to have 3 more sons and 2 daughters totaling 7 children in all. God is faithful. Seek him with your whole heart by faith in prayer and he will respond.
